Yesterday, I visited URBANICE MALAYSIA, a federal agency under the Ministry of local government development, which nationally advocates for sustainable urban development (#SUD) and directly advises cities on #SDGs localization. To my mind, #SDGs based transformation clearly needs a new organizational approach. In #Malaysia, the institutional move is quite impressive. A political framework is in place under the Prime minister’s department and policies/budget are monitored by the Ministry of Economy, which has the leading role among ministries. However, it is still a challenge to review and meet the goals towards a true impactful transformation. Likewise everywhere in the world, #capacity building is THE key for a great change …
