Embark on a journey with me at the 19th ITS Asia Pacific Forum in Jakarta, where we’ll enlighten the path to Nusantara—a groundbreaking $35 billion endeavor to redefine urban living. In my talk, I’ll delve in the essence of holistic innovation that supports sustainable urban environments, prioritising the well-being of citizens within a vibrant urban ecosystem.
Invited by TPr Ts. Md Farabi Yussoff, I witnessed TM One Innovation Lab’s unveiling, symbolising Telecom Malaysia’s stride towards digital sophistication. The close of 2023 saw also an alliance with PLANMALAYSIA strengthen, setting 29 local councils on a path to smart city transformation.
In France, urban planners face challenges in gaining recognition compared to architects and engineers. The decentralization model limits their influence, leaving room for other disciplines. However, the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer an opportunity for French urban planners to shape territories. By embracing holistic approaches, interdisciplinary skills, and collaboration, they can transform society and contribute to institutional reform. International cooperation is also crucial, especially with regions facing significant urbanisation challenges.
