Speaking at the Europe–Japan Roundtable on Digital Innovation and Sustainable Tourism at Expo 2025 Osaka’s Italy Pavilion was both an honour and a milestone. My journey between Europe and Asia continues through initiatives that connect innovation, governance, and sustainability—advancing a shared vision where digital transformation serves both people and the planet.
Following an insightful journey this year across MENA, I’m stepping back soon into APAC arena — at a moment when cities and regional governments are being called upon to play a more active role in shaping urban trajectories.
Honored to be invited to ERIA’s inception meeting in Jakarta 🇮🇩 (Jan 16, 2025) to discuss digital twins for urban sustainability in ASEAN. Alongside global experts, I contributed to the “Data Governance & Public Policy” session, sharing insights on agile governance, interoperability, and data strategies for smart cities. Excited to continue shaping this study, culminating in a final book with key policy recommendations.
