Last week’s workshop at PRASARANA MALAYSIA BERHAD highlighted the intersection of air quality and smart city solutions. Dr. Shahrul Nadzir’s presentation from UKM showcased a mobile air quality sensor, reflecting my own HSE background and past work on similar AI-driven initiatives. The event fostered valuable connections and discussions on innovative, cost-effective technologies for healthier urban environments.
Returning to Malaysia, I find myself in the vibrant atmosphere of Kuching, Sarawak. Currently participating in WCIT | IDECS 2023 at BCCK, the event resonates with my expertise in digital innovation for economic, social, and environmental progress. It’s a reunion of minds, offering vast opportunities for growth and collaboration.
My global consultancy is now strategically aligned with the emerging framework of sustainable urban development (SUD), focusing on integrated, place-based public policies, governance, and green digital solutions. After a decade in Asia, I’m targeting the Global South, particularly Southeast Asia, with Malaysia as the operational hub. This shift underscores the need for cooperation in capacity building, where Europe and the UK can share adaptable knowledge and best practices.
