Over the past three years, my work in Southeast Asia and Japan expanded to the Global South, exploring urban development, engaging with international networks and innovation initiatives, and applying these insights locally in Brittany.
Over the past 3 years, I focused my career on Southeast Asia 🌏 – Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾 (ASEAN chair 2025), Singapore 🇸🇬, Jakarta 🇮🇩, Bangkok 🇹🇭, and lastly Phnom Penh 🇰🇭 – immersing myself in how cities grow, adapt, and often diverge from official narratives. This led me back to Japan 🇯🇵 – Osaka during the grand Expo and Tokyo –, extending my perspective to the Global South: Dar es Salaam 🇹🇿, Dubai 🇦🇪, and beyond megacities, visiting medium-sized cities that I believe hold the key to future urban development.
I engaged in international networks, connecting the European private sector 🇪🇺, building strong relationships with unexpected partners in the Middle East 🌍 and even Ethiopia 🇪🇹, and exchanging insights with media, governors, senior city officials, leading universities, research institutions, and prominent organizations worldwide, while participating in studies, interviews, high-level forums, congresses, and serving on the jury of a global innovation challenge 🇺🇸.
Navigating this continuum – from emerging countries to global hubs – has shown that meaningful understanding requires rare strategic clarity, high-level analysis, and hands-on experience, a niche of 360° intelligence few European or Asian consultants have ventured into.
I continue to explore ideas through my website and LinkedIn newsletters Occam’s Blades at Work 🇬🇧 and Réveil des Territoires! 🇫🇷 (923 and 1,275 subscribers), combining global insight with territorial and political strategy, while remaining grounded locally: back home in Brittany, France 🇫🇷, I stay actively engaged as municipal elections 🗳️ approach, ensuring lessons learned inform tangible local impact.
2026 will be about turning clarity into strategy, and strategy into action, bridging global realities and local decision-making without illusions.
