As an emerging global consultant, I recently partnered with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) to co-design the Digital Twins for Deep Sustainability study framework and participate in its research elaboration. Involved during its inaugural meeting in Jakarta, this initiative unites 20+ international experts to tackle urban sustainability challenges through cutting-edge digital twin technology.
Key Contributions:
- Led policy discussions on balancing agile governance with ASEAN’s regulatory diversity, drawing from EU-funded smart city projects and bottom-up initiatives.
- Collaborated with José Palma Andres (ex-EU policy lead) and Dr. Lanfranco Marasso (AlmavivA S.p.A.) to leverage European data governance models for Southeast Asia’s unique needs.
- Co-developed strategies to attract investment through interoperable digital frameworks, addressing subsidiarity challenges observed in EU institutional landscapes.
Outcome:
- Finalizing a policy-shaping book (2025 release) synthesizing actionable recommendations for ASEAN cities.
- Strengthened partnerships with ERIA and EU innovators, positioning my consultancy at the nexus of global sustainability tech and regional implementation.
This project exemplifies how Ker-Iz Consulting bridges local challenges with global innovation—transforming theoretical frameworks into investable, scalable solutions.
