At SCEKL2025’s main panel, I shared why technical optimisation alone cannot deliver deep urban change. True progress demands governance reform, systemic thinking, and data frameworks enabling federated, people-centric smart cities. This moment reflects a shift—from efficiency to transformation—in how we design the future of urban ecosystems.
Selected as a speaker at Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025, this intervention reflects growing recognition in Southeast Asia 🌏. It explores how public–private partnerships (#PPP) can drive integrated city platforms, resilient infrastructure, and digital solutions, linking people-centric federated urban platforms with a systemic vision of urban sustainability.
Cities today face urgent challenges — from climate change to rapid urbanisation and inequality — while innovation creates solutions once unimaginable. What matters now is transforming bold ideas into scalable impact, which is why I am honoured to serve on the jury of the QBE Insurance AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge 2025, hosted by Leading Cities, the world’s leading program for urban resilience and smart city innovation.
