I had insightful discussions on smart city solutions with public and industry leaders, particularly on smart mobility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attending the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/selangor-summit\/\">Selangor Summit<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=sibs2024&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#SIBS2024<\/a>) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/klccconventioncentre\/\">Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre<\/a>, which hosted the 9th Selangor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=smartcity&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#SmartCity<\/a> &amp; Digital Economy Convention (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=sdec2024&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#SDEC2024<\/a>), was a rewarding experience.<br><br>As the most developed and wealthiest state in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=malaysia&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Malaysia<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=selangor&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Selangor<\/a> plays a vital role in the national economy. Its close economic and infrastructural ties with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=kualalumpur&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#KualaLumpur<\/a>, even after KL became a federal territory in 1974, highlight their combined contributions to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=malaysia&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Malaysia<\/a>&#8216;s growth story.<br><br>The event explored the future of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=smartcities&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#smartcities<\/a>, with various booths from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/selangor-state-government\/\">Selangor State Government<\/a> and its cities showcasing innovative visions and action plans. \u00a0It provided an excellent platform to exchange expertise on the key challenges to smart and sustainable policies. I had insightful discussions with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAABR2mcwBpw_yDrgj9PP0SywiIFhiOAPLI2c\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/yussofnor\/\">Yussof Nor Hassan<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/smart-selangor-delivery-unit-ssdu\/\">Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU)<\/a> and experts from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=putrajaya&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#PetalingJaya<\/a> city&#8217;s smart city program.<br><br>A highlight was my conversation with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAKqrwcBnTsGx-OYI7ow8bu-homGx---3yQ\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/chungoh\/\">Chun H Goh<\/a>, founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=kumpool&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Kumpool<\/a>, an innovative ride-pooling service offering first and last-mile solutions. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=kumpool&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Kumpool<\/a>&#8216;s ride pooling approach, enhancing connectivity within 5km of public transportation stations,\u00a0reminded me of my time at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/toyota\/\">Toyota Motor Corporation<\/a> \ud83c\uddef\ud83c\uddf5, where I worked on smart mobility solutions across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=europe&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7252671899074207744\">#Europe<\/a> \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddfa.<br><br>I&#8217;m now preparing for an exciting business trip \ud83d\udeeb\u2014more updates to come next week.
