At the World Cities Summit 2024, I immersed myself in a session hosted by the UNDP Global Centre in Singapore. Reconnecting with the forward-thinking team at Arup solidified my dedication to sustainable urban development. Interactions with Malaysian leaders Dr. Maimunah Mohd Sharif and Nga Kor Ming resonated deeply.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the World Cities Summit<\/a> \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddec #WCS2024<\/a>, I started this morning by immersing myself in a session hosted by the UNDP Global Centre, Singapore<\/a>. The topic? \u201cDesigned for People: Expert Insights on Building Smarter Cities.\u201d This prelude to their upcoming report on \u201cHow Open Source is Shaping the Cities of the Future\u201d left me inspired.

Reengaging with the forward-thinking team at Arup<\/a> (sponsor), including <\/a>Michael Chadney<\/a> whom I encountered previously, has further solidified my dedication to the principles of sustainable urban development (#SDGs<\/a>).

But it was my interactions with Malaysian leaders \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe\u2014 <\/a>Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif<\/a>, former UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme)<\/a> leader, and Nga Kor Ming, Malaysia\u2019s Minister of Housing and Local Authorities\u2014that truly resonated.

Last but not least, I also had the honor of discussing a tangible proposal to become an \u2018Impact Facilitator\u2019 for a #smartcity<\/a> initiative in the region. \ud83c\udf40
