PETRONAS and its subsidiary Gentari showcased their strides in sustainability, while TotalEnergies\u2019 collaboration on CCS and solar projects underscored Asia\u2019s renewable growth. Valuable connections were made, including discussions on the Smart Green ASEAN Cities programme, signaling exciting collaborative prospects.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, I visited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/officialenergyasia\/\">Energy Asia<\/a> (3 days) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/klccconventioncentre\/\">Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe. Many Japanese companies \ud83c\uddef\ud83c\uddf5 and a few western groups were there but not only \u2026<br><br>The Malaysian famous company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/petronas\/\">PETRONAS<\/a> led a giant pavilion called \u00ab <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/petronas\/\">PETRONAS<\/a> Energy Park\u00a0\u00bb, which was freely open to visitors. Its new flagship innovative subsidiary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/gentari\/\">Gentari<\/a> &#8211; hydrogen, renewables and electrification &#8211; had also a strong presence there. Last year in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=europe&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7079502451153764352\">#Europe<\/a> \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddfa, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/petronas-chemicals-group-bhd-pchem-\/\">PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG)<\/a> acquired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/perstorp-group\/\">Perstorp Group<\/a> \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddea. This innovative chemical company leads \u00ab\u00a0Project Air\u00a0\u00bb, which provides a solution to replace fossil raw materials with recycled and biobased feedstock in the production of methanol.<br><br>The big surprise came from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/totalenergies\/\">TotalEnergies<\/a> \ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7, which is particularly interested in the \u00ab\u00a0huge\u00a0\u00bb renewables business in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=asia&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7079502451153764352\">#Asia<\/a>. The French group signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=mou&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7079502451153764352\">#MoU<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/petronas\/\">PETRONAS<\/a> on carbon capture &amp; storage (CCS) as well as with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/gentari\/\">Gentari<\/a> on solar energy. \ud83d\udc49\ud83c\udffb <a href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/g2XMvEw9\">https:\/\/lnkd.in\/g2XMvEw9<\/a><br><br>Last but not least, I had the chance \ud83c\udf40 to meet a Breton colleague \ud83d\ude03, expert in the energy sector, and who helped me a lot by opening his Malaysian network. I also exchanged on The Smart Green <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=asean&amp;highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7079502451153764352\">#ASEAN<\/a> Cities programme with a counsellor from the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddfa.
