As my enriching three-month journey in Malaysia and Singapore draws to a close, I\u2019m already envisioning the next steps. The initial exploration phase has opened doors to potential collaborations, setting the stage for a deeper engagement. I\u2019m thankful for the support from my diverse network, which has been instrumental in forging new connections. The experience reaffirmed my belief in Malaysia\u2019s dynamic potential and the importance of critical thinking and positive action. As I prepare for my return to Paris, I look forward to continuing this momentum and contributing to sustainable development in Asia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My 3-month #happy<\/a> \ud83d\ude03 trip in #Malaysia<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe (+ #Singapore<\/a> \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddec) is coming to an end this week. I came in this amazing city of #KualaLumpur<\/a> #KL<\/a> \ud83c\udfd9 with the purpose to freely explore Malaysian opportunities \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe (+ #ASEAN<\/a> \ud83c\udf0f), and particularly in my domains (#SDGs<\/a> and #DX<\/a> driven cities).
Phase 1 (#exploring<\/a>) was such successful that I’m planning a 3-month phase 2 (#engaging<\/a>) with potential projects and partnerships in the pipes \ud83e\udd1e. In 2024, towards a phase 3 (#acting<\/a>) ? \ud83c\udf40

First of all, I’m grateful to my network fellows for their kind support : #Breton<\/a> \ud83d\udd33, #French<\/a> \ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7, #European<\/a> \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddfa and #Malaysian<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe (#MBA<\/a>). During my stay, I also had the chance \ud83c\udf40 to meet a lot of smart, nice and friendly people \ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udd27\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udd27, who connected me so easily to their own network. As a #European<\/a> expert, I also would like to thank EUROCHAM Malaysia<\/a> \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddfa that quickly contributed to extending my local contacts. Indeed, \u201c#trust<\/a> is built in the smallest of moments\u201d (<\/a>Bren\u00e9 Brown<\/a>).

I think that my first #intuition<\/a> \ud83d\udca1 to explore #Malaysia<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe was right. Reality is not only a picture \ud83d\udcf8 but much more a dynamic. It’s also crucial to be #critical<\/a> when facing “old school” built speeches, and keep a #positive<\/a> mindset by always staying focus on the new goals.
In #Malaysia<\/a> \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfe, I subtly could feel a wind of change. Not only at the governmental levels but also within the civil society such as new companies, universities and even citizens themselves.

Nevertheless, a hard collective #work<\/a> is needed even from beyond current organizational boundaries. #Governance<\/a> and #localisation<\/a>, #knowhow<\/a> and #capacity<\/a> building are a few of the necessary approaches in order to be fully successful. Between a blueprint #vision<\/a> and #implementation<\/a>, a clear #strategy<\/a> must also be devised, operational and shared among all the stakeholders …
